Argentina is where this next beauty currently resides and hails from. Annik Cherie is her modeling name and she is a lover of reading, modeling, making costumes and more. And guess what? She managed to take the spot for the 50th interview we’ve conducted. So congrats Annik Cherie and thanks for the chance to interview you!
I hope you enjoy this one folks!
Luny: Please tell everyone your modeling name and where you are from.
Annik Cherie: Hi, my name is Annik Cherie and I’m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Luny: Aside from modeling, what are some other things you enjoy doing?
Annik Cherie: Well, I Iike to do a lot of things! I enjoy reading, mostly horror novels, my two favorites authors are H.P. Lovecraft and EAP. Also I do like listening music and when I can, I go to the gym and love roller skating and ice-skating. I have another passion which is making costumes and accessories, some of them are used in the photo shoot sessions.
Getting out with my friends and have some fun is something that I’m always prepared to do.
Luny: How did you get started modeling and what has the experience been like?
Annik Cherie: That was something I’d never planned, it just came out. Since I was a teenager I looked up Anne Nurmi, the female Lacrimosa’s singer, I admired her beauty and sensuality. She, other artists and gothic aesthetic and culture were really attractive to me, so I started to make some dresses, doing my own make-up, and taking pictures for myself. Then some professional photographers started to contact me to make photo shoot sessions, short films, and I thought OK! this could be fun!
The result was unexpected for me, I have met many talented and passionate people, so I kept doing it.
Luny: Can you tell us some of the brands or companies you have modeled for?
Annik Cherie: Generally I do not work with brands. There are just 3 sets for sale available in an erotic website (Badgirls 8) for a limited time. That was a proposal from a photographer, they were looking for alternative models and I liked the idea of trying something different for once.
Then, I made one or two sessions for Gotique Poupée®, a local gothic and lolita brand. But like I said before, I do most of my own clothes, accessories and make-up, besides I love shopping and have a lot of stuff from independent brands.
Luny: Where are several places you would like to travel to some day and why?
Annik Cherie: That’s a really good and proper question. I am planning to travel next year to know some countries in Europe. I know it’ll take more than one tour to visit every place that I want to know, so I decided to pic some cities to go on my first trip.
Barcelona will be the first destination, then I want to go to Notre-Dame, Saint-Ètienne, Vesailles, Brujas, Berlin, Nuremberg, Siena, and at last Athens. I’m really interested in those places because want to walk those antique streets, I’m fascinated with the architecture, I want to go to the museums, cathedrals, and feel the magic of the past times.
Luny: And what about places you’ve visited and did not like? Any?
Annik Cherie: Yes…of course. Many years ago I went for vacations to a province where all were mountains and miles and miles of fields. After 3 days I wanted to be back home…that was terribly boring. I mean, Argentina is an amazing country, has too many beautiful landscapes that I love, but I didn’t like that at all.
Luny: If you were granted 1 wish in life, what would it be and why?
Annik Cherie: It would be to have my own castle or a big gothic style house. I know it might sound stupid or something, but the truth is that I would feel like I’m living in another era, surrounded by old paintings, a big piano, antique furniture, and organize masquerades. That would be my place in the world.
Luny: I see you are studying UNLaM Medicina is that correct?
Annik Cherie: Actually I’m a medical doctor student at National University of La Matanza. I’m coursing the second year and I expect to graduate and be a great doctor. Can’t wait to be one of the first gothic doctors in town hahaha.
Being serious, this is really important to me, is something that I know I want to dedicate myself. In these days, public health services are insufficient, there’s so much to do like educate the population and give them information about self-care to avoid diseases, and our country is not going through a good moment… a lot of children doesn’t have even something to eat, there’s serious nutritional problems, and I feel I can do something about it. I know there’s not magic solutions, but I want to be part of it.
Luny: Can you tell us what future plans or ideas you have for your modeling?
Annik Cherie: To be honest, recently I was thinking about deactivate my on-line model profile because I don’t have much time now and I wasn’t making productions or new sets, but then, one Facebook gothic and alternative models page selected me as a profile model, and after that, someone who’s running another page of goth style models sent me a message telling me that he wanted my permission to post a photo of me because he loved my style.
Finally, a lot of followers and some friends told me that they liked what I was doing. That was surprising, I had no idea that people was really following my work, and I was like OK! They’re supporting me, this is awesome! So, it seems I have no choice and I’m preparing new material right now…
Luny: Finally, is there anyone you would like to thank or any websites you would like our readers to visit?
