It’s always a treat to see such fine and eager talent expressing themselves and following their dreams. And Tabbie Athame is doing just that. Coming from Princeton, West Virginia, Tabbie has always wanted to become a model ever since she was a young child. But if you think there is nothing else besides this pretty face, think again. She also loves playing Piano, singing, and writing her own music. She seems to know what she wants and has no problems getting it. I believe great things are destined for her in the future. Continue reading below for the interview she gave with us.
Luny: Please tell everyone your modeling name and where you are from.
Tabbie Athame: I am Tabbie Athame, from Princeton, West Virginia.
Luny: Can you share with us how you got started modeling and what was the reasoning behind it?
Tabbie Athame: Modeling has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl, I was always fascinated with runway models at first, then I got my first tattoo magazine, and it was a dream ever since. My father was always very supportive, from helping me get into pageants, to paying for my very first photo shoot when I was 15. He was always very encouraging, and when he got sick, I pretty much had to put life on hold to take care of him. Before he passed away, he told me he wanted me to do something spectacular with my life, and not throw away my talents. It was an eye opener for me, coming from my father, who supported me all those years, I want nothing more than to make him proud.
Luny: I see you enjoy body mods. On the subject of such, how many of each do you have and what are you thinking about getting for the future?
Tabbie Athame: I have 19 piercings all together. Most of them are ear piercings, but 9 are facial piercings. I also have a hip tattoo and an almost finished sleeve. As far as future plans go, I just need to finish getting filler tattoos on my sleeve. I love tattoos, so I’m sure that won’t be the last of them.
Luny: I read that you also are a singer? With what band are you a vocalist for and can we get a listen to some of their music?
Tabbie Athame: I’m not a part of any bands at the moment; I’ve mainly been working on some solo stuff, just my piano and I.
Luny: In life, sometimes we feel the need to try and rediscover ourselves or start out in new adventures. What has been yours so far?
Tabbie Athame: I’ve always been an adventurous person; I love traveling and living life each day as it is thrown at me. I wouldn’t say I have had any large events happen, but to me, it has always been about the little things in life that matter most, and I discover more about myself each day.
Luny: What are a few qualities you see in yourself that you would like to change?
Tabbie Athame: I am very happy with myself, and life is good. The only thing I would consider changing are a few of my health problems.
Luny: Given the chance to perform with any artist or musical talent, who would it be and why?
Tabbie Athame: Mayday Parade. They have been a huge influence in my life musically, and lyrically. I actually have a couple tattoos inspired by some of their lyrics
Luny: What are your current views on the world today as you see it? What upsets you the most?
Tabbie Athame: I see the world as a beautiful place filled with people who over exploit all of it. There’s pollution, waste products in our oceans, and mass produced factory farms with people who treat animals like products, and not living beings. People need to see the beauty in this world, realize we only have one earth, and understand their actions affect everyone as a whole.
Luny: Looking towards the future, where do you see yourself going with your performing art, singing, modeling etc.
Tabbie Athame: I just want to make my father proud, where I end up is not a priority to me, although I would love to be successful doing the things I enjoy; I just want to feel like Everything my dad did for me to get me this far, before he passed away, meant something, and I’m making him proud.
Luny: Finally, is there anyone you’d like to say thank you to or any websites you’d like to mention?
Tabbie Athame: I would just like to thank my friends and family who have stuck by me all this time, my little pep squad Marilyn Bree Burgess, and Kenna Hale, my new hula hoop besties Krystal Flannery and Sadie Lane, James Davis of #Opticworksmedia (photography), Michael Harris of HF Music and Media Group (photographer), Tom at Beautiful Dark Angels of Goth, and everyone who has supported me. I love you all !!!!!
